- visit your surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday, when your surgery is open.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Routine appointments
To request a routine appointment:
- use your Systmonline account
- phone your surgery, Monday to Friday after 11.30am. View your surgery contact details
- visit your surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday, when your surgery is open.
- use our appointment request form, Monday to Friday. We will respond within 2 working days during opening times

Your appointment
However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- by text or email.
Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.
Cancel your appointment
To cancel your appointment:
- fill in an online form
- use your Systmonline account
- phone your surgery, Monday to Friday. View your surgery contact details
- reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
- visit your surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday, when your surgery is open.
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Saturday Clinics – Enhanced Access
As part of our aim to provide universal access to primary care Westrop Medical Practice are proud to offer clinics on Saturday’s to allow access to primary care on weekends. This allows patients who struggle to attend appointments throughout the week to obtain the same healthcare services as others. The clinics run from Taw Hill Surgery and Carfax Medical Centre from 9am until 1pm every Saturday.

- Mental Health Appointments
- Dietician Appointments
- Cervical Screening
- Asthma Reviews
- Diabetic Reviews
- COPD Reviews
- Routine ECG’s
- Ear Syringing
- Wound Care
- Immunisations (Including B12, if eligible)
The clinics held are appointment based only, to make an appointment please contact your registered GP surgery and ask for an appointment at the Saturday Clinic. The clinics addresses are below:

If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond.
- If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email.
- If you need an interpreter. Telephone translators can be arranged via ‘Language Line’ or ‘Alpha Plus’ for most languages.
- If you have any other access or communication needs.
- If you require a chaperone.
Home visits
If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.
